Go Deep On Park Hot Laps and Natural Features

The men's Burton Deep Thinker Snowboard is a directional spin on team rider Danny Davis' go-to board for hot laps in the park, pipe, or mobbing side hits across the mountain. This fun, snappy ride keeps the freestyle performance turned up to 10, while upping the float and responsiveness for a balanced freeride feel with all-mountain versatility.

Directional Camber Bend
A blend of camber under both feet and a rockered nose maintains stability through variable conditions and plenty of float in soft snow.

All-Mountain Versatility and Freestyle Fun
Its directional shape keeps you carving around the mountain, while just the right amount of taper keeps the freestyle feel alive.

Lightweight and Full of Energy
The carbon-reinforced fiberglass core matrix creates a stiff, fine-tuned flex feel that's loaded with energy.

Compatibility
The ChannelĀ® Board Mount is compatible with all major bindings and lets you dial in the stance exactly the way you like it.

The long-running collab between artist Scott Lenhardt and team rider Danny Davis continues to bring the Thinker boards to life. This season's graphics bring a kooky, carnival vibe with an unhinged, hand-painted feel. Different-sized dots channel the energy of snowboarding, and hidden gems like a portrait of Jake honor the Burton legacy.

3-YEAR WARRANTY All 2014 and newer Burton snowboards with The Channel mounting system (such as the one you are looking at here) are backed by a three-year warranty from date of purchase.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Waxing:
Waxing your snowboard is essential. It will keep you moving faster (which is essential on those flat bits or cat tracks) and will prevent your board from drying out, thus extending its life. Waxing isnā€™t a one-and-sheā€™s-done kind of thingā€”youā€™ll need to give your board a good hot wax from time to time. Exactly how often will depend on how much you ride it, but a sure sign that itā€™s due for a wax is if the base starts to look a little white and you feel like youā€™re going slower than usual on flat bits. Snowboards typically come with a ā€œfactory wax", meaning a wax that was applied in the warehouse when it was made. You can ride the board immediately with the factory wax, but most snowboarders agree that itā€™s way better to give the board a proper hot wax before you take it out on the snow. Before putting your board away for the final time of the season, be sure to have a storage wax applied to your snowboard.
Sharpen Your Board as Needed
Snowboards can be sharpened at a snowboard shop with a sharpening machine, or with a whetstone and file
Snowboard Bags:
Use a snowboard bag to transport you board around while preventing any potential damage to your board, boots, and bindings.
Boots and bindings:
Before riding, ensure your bindings are attached to your board firmly to prevent any damage at the contact points.
Obstacles:
Exposed rocks and other hard, jagged surfaces are your snowboardā€™s worst enemy. Ride with care, especially early and late in the season when the coverage isnā€™t at its best.
Repairs:
If there are any minor gashes on your board, a fresh wax and buff and you should be fine, however any major defects with the board should be repaired or replaced prior to using.
Putting Away:
At the end of each and every day on the mountain, be sure to carefully wipe off any snow thatā€™s stuck to your board. Donā€™t forget the crevices around the bindings; leaving excess moisture can cause metal parts to rust. At the end of the season, give your board a solid wipe down (especially if itā€™s covered in spring riding muck), dry it off thoroughly, and melt on a thick layer of waxā€”which you can scrape off at the start of next season. Store your board in a dry, cool place where it wonā€™t get knocked around.
